Actor-producer Michael B. Jordan has penned an emotional Instagram tribute for his friend and colleague Chadwick Boseman, who passed away due to colon cancer at age 43.

I’ve been trying to find the words, but nothing comes close to how I feel. I’ve been reflecting on every moment, every conversation, every laugh, every disagreement, every hug…everything. I wish we had more time. One of the last times we spoke, you said we were forever linked , and now the truth of that means more to me than ever. Since nearly the beginning of my career, starting with All My Children when I was 16 years old you paved the way for me. You showed me how to be better, honor purpose, and create legacy. And whether you’ve known it or not…I’ve been watching, learning and constantly motivated by your greatness. I wish we had more time. Everything you’ve given the world … the legends and heroes that you’ve shown us we are … will live on forever. But the thing that hurts the most is that I now understand how much of a legend and hero YOU are. Through it all, you never lost sight of what you loved most. You cared about your family , your friends, your craft, your spirit. You cared about the kids, the community, our culture and humanity. You cared about me. You are my big brother, but I never fully got a chance to tell you, or to truly give you your flowers while you were here. I wish we had more time. I'm more aware now than ever that time is short with people we love and admire. I’m gonna miss your honesty, your generosity, your sense of humor, and incredible gifts. I’ll miss the gift of sharing space with you in scenes. I’m dedicating the rest of my days to live the way you did. With grace, courage, and no regrets. “Is this your king!?” Yes . he . is! Rest In Power Brother.

Earlier in August, The Sun reported that Sheeran and his wife Cherry Seaborn are expecting their first child. The 28-year-old singer Sheeran announced in December that he was taking a break from both touring and social media, saying he would return with new music "when the time is right and I've lived a little more to actually have something to write about."

He did, however, break that hiatus to pop in on a Zoom lesson for a class of UK schoolchildren in May. Page Six reported that Sheeran and Seaborn were high-school sweethearts; he revealed in his December video for the song 'Put It All On Me' that "a few years ago, they reconnected [and] there were fireworks." Brooklynn Prince: I don't see acting as work. I am doing what I love

Posted on 1 Sep 2020 01:54:54 GMT - hollywood-news

In a team of superstars voicing animated characters in The One and Only Ivan, Brookylnn Prince immediately stands out as the only child actor. But judging her by her age would be a folly — at 10, she has already wowed critics with her endearing performance in The Florida Project (2017). Now, she is learning the art of acting behind the mic. "It doesn't come naturally to me. I have realised how sometimes going over the top is key," says Prince, who has previously lent her voice for The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part and The Angry Birds Movie 2 earlier.

Inhabiting the character of baby elephant Ruby in the Disney+Hotstar release was an easy decision for the actor. A fan of the KA Applegate book of the same name, she was only too thrilled to be part of the screen adaptation of one of her favourite stories. "I have a copy of the book at home and love the characters. The friendship between Ivan [played by Sam Rockwell] and Ruby is what [drew me] to the film. My mum and I cried during the flashback sequences and the climax," reveals the actor, emphasising that she chooses scripts on the basis of their message.

Prince is happy to juggle her acting commitments with her schoolwork, learning as much about camera angles as she does about countries and their capitals. Ask her if she has found her calling in acting, and she says there is nothing in the world she would rather do. "I don't see acting as work. I am doing what I love — playing pretend, dressing up and having fun."

Keke Palmer, The Weeknd address Black Lives Matter movement during VMA speeches

Posted on 1 Sep 2020 01:42:36 GMT - hollywood-news

As MTV's Video Music Awards honoured musicians for some of their greatest music of the year, the host of the show Keke Palmer used the stage to talk about the Black Lives Matter movement at the event.

This comes after months-long racial tension that had rocked the globe. "As rough as it's been, there have been incredible moments of inspiration that have given my generation hope," Fox News quoted the 27-year-old actor as saying during the address.

"We've seen heroes going above and beyond, whether they drive a delivery truck, work at a grocery store, or serve on the front lines in a hospital."

"And with the Black Lives Matter movement, we've seen our generation step up, take to the streets, and make sure our voices will be heard. Enough is enough," she added.

Elaborating more on the need to draw attention towards the movement, the 'Hustlers' actor spoke about the recent shooting of African American man Jacob Blake by a police officer, reported Fox News.

Palmer further urged viewers to come together for the cause because she said that it is, "time to be the change we want to see."

"Music has that power. Music can help us heal. It's all love, and that's what tonight is about," she added.

Following Palmer's interest, musician The Weeknd who stole the 'video of the year' and the best R&B award, also mentioned about the movement in his acceptance speech.

During the speech, the singer said despite winning the major award of the night, it was difficult for him to "celebrate."

"It's really hard for me to celebrate right now and enjoy this moment. I'm just gonna say justice for Jacob Blake and justice for Breonna Taylor. Thank you," he added.

The show was aired on MTV and its 11 other sister channels and broadcasted on CW for the first time.

Boseman rose to prominence after essaying the role of the real-life figures including Baseball Jackie Robinson in 2013's 42 and American singer-songwriter James Brown in 2014's 'Get on Up'. However, it was his role as 'Black Panther' in the 2018 hit film that defined his career and made a huge imprint on his fans. In the movie, the late actor starred as the ruler of Wakanda, a fictional African nation with the most advanced technology.

Drew Barrymore tells Andy Cohen she's 'never forgiven' herself for drinking too much on WWHL

Posted on 30 Aug 2020 23:23:29 GMT - hollywood-news

Hollywood star Drew Barrymore recently opened up to American television talk show host Andy Cohen about her one regret from the actor's last appearance on 'Watch What Happens Live.' According to E!News, the 45-year-old actor Drew and Andy sat down for her 'Art of the Interview' series for her new daytime talk show 'The Drew Barrymore Show'. In the series, Drew sits down with other notable hosts who she admires and gets their take on hosting, interviewing and what it takes to have a hit show.

Her conversation with Andy was no different, and the 'Charlie's Angels' star even shared her one regret from her time on his hit Bravo show. And also dished on why she thinks Andy is a brilliant host.

Drew remarked that she's always been a total professional when it comes to work, except for that one time she lost control on 'WWHL'.

"But it was on your show and I drank too much and I have never forgiven myself" Nor will I ever forgive myself," Barry shared with the host.

Cohen was pretty shocked to learn that the '50 First Dates' star didn't love her last appearance, but he reassured her that she's not the only one to fall victim to getting a little tipsy on his set.

The 52-year-old host Cohen encouraged the star by saying, "Oh God, Well I'm used to people being overserved on my show and so I don't even really have a totally clear memory of it but you don't need to apologize to me for being overserved on my show, that happens. You're in a great club of people."

She also didn't shy away from praising the host's incredible versatility as an interviewer.

Barrymore gushed, "You have every kind of person on your show. Everyone has come to play from Meryl Streep to Oprah and you have to be the UN ambassador with the greatest skillset in your reunions and what you have done is my favourite thing in the world, you have mixed tones."

As reported by E!News, Andy revealed that he's always tried to strike a balance. He shared, "I love you for getting that because I am all about high and low and that is my entire goal in everything that I'm doing."
