Mother Dairy has launched three types of breads -- sandwich, brown, and fruit & milk -- in a price range of Rs 15-40 per packet. The breads will be initially available at its 1,800 milk booths and 'Safal' outlets in the National Capital Region (NCR).
"Will India go back to double-digit growth in the coming months? Maybe not, but if India delivers us a 6%, 7%, 8% topline growth, that's more than enough for us to keep on going on our plan," chief executive officer Dirk Van de Put said on an investor call after the US-based company reported a 2.5% decline in sales globally.

The maker of Pepsi cola and Lay’s snacks said in its statement that in the Africa, Middle East and South Asia (AMESA) regions, its “beverage volume declined 25%, reflecting double-digit declines in India and Pakistan, a low-single-digit decline in Nigeria and a high-single-digit decline in the Middle East.”
